Good Charlotte-Hold On feat. The Academy Is
Kanye West-Heartless

I got 2 new albums, I didn't buy them though, got them from www.musicistheheartofoursourl.blogspot.com
Its Kanye's new album, 808's and Heartbreak and Good Charlotte's Greatest Remixes. The Kanye album sounds pretty good but the GC one is quite bad. That probably because I don't like techno and remixes are techno. The only nice songs on the album is Broken Hearts Parade, All Black, Little Things and Hold On. Little Things is remixed by Patrick Stump (the fat singer of Fall Out Boy) and it sounds really.. cute. Hold On is really nice, with William Beckett's voice. And fyi, Kanye's album is called 808's and Heartbreak because apparently 808 was some drum he used on the album and heartbreak is well, his personal experience. And the album has a live track that was recorded in Singapore during his concert! Thats pretty awesome, I don't think any artists actually bothered to record any stuff in Singapore.

Anyway, on Thursday I went out with my dad to Borders at Parkway then Kino at Taka. I got 1434-The Year A Magnificent Chinese Fleet Sailed to Italy and Ignited the Renaissance from Borders! Its thinner than 1421 but I haven't started reading it yet. I think I'll enjoy this book more compared to 1421, at least this book talks about the West too. I don't really like reading a few hundred pages of people praising China every few paragraphs. I got the China textbook for school next year at Kino and a book for EE.

So.. EE. I'm just left with the conclusion!! I'm quite happy about that, thats why I haven't been updating here, been doing EE till 2 plus am every day and waking up at 11, apart from yesterday cos I had to go to church. On Friday I stayed at Ben's house, Marianne didn't stay over in the end, she was tired out from the whole week. Busy girl. i went to his house after Physio, where I learned how to bandage my knees to force the patella in the knee to shift to the correct position. There were 6 people watching me bandage my knee. 2 physio assistants, and 4 MJ students on work attachment. One of them was Shi Yeng. Lol. One time when I couldn't peel the bandage off the plastic and I had to ask for help, they laughed. Pretty mean but.. whatever. I had to keep the bandages on, and I didn't want to take bus looking like that, plus I was really lazy to wait for the bus that I always miss and wait half an hour for, so I took a cab to Ben's house and it cost me $10 plus.

So I went there, hung out, had dinner while others from church were there for a gathering too. Ate a lot, including Ben's invention, pumpkin cake. It was really good. I found Breaking Dawn in his room so I started reading it too, realised its really lousy. So far in the 200 plus pages I read/skimmed through, alot of it was about sex and the girl wanting to have sex and getting pregnant.. Erm. Ok.. At least Min Jie's woken up and from the avid fan of Twilight she was, she's now a skeptic. Haha. Ben was watching Youtube videos and we watched Ugly Betty and funny videos.. We slept at 2 plus and woke up at 11.45. Ben couldn't believe it when I told him it was 11.45. He was like "No.. No.. You're joking." Haha. We washed up then went to meet Marianne at Parkway. The weather was so irritatingly hot. We ate at food court, then went to take a bus to Paya Lebar MRT, while Glenn and Mari went off to play mahjong.

Went to True Way, watched the Promise again, went home at 5 plus and my dad picked me from Bedok MRT, and we went to pick my mum from the airport. She was in a bad state when we fetched her, she was going to faint. Went home after that, did EE.. Every day I'm just doing EE.. At least I'm making good progress. Next assignment to do: TOK essay. Bleargh. I'm fine doing EE but I can't stand doing TOK, my brain just goes dead and I have writers block when it comes to TOK. Anyway, yesterday after church I went to 85 for lunch with my parents, went home. Did EE. Fell asleep, woke up, went for dinner with the usual group, came home, did EE. Lol.

Woke up at 11 plus today, determined to finish my EE today. I have Promise rehearsal tonight at UCC at 6, I got 2 free tix to Promise, gonna ask Lucienne and Yee Kei. Forgot to ask YK but Lu said if she has nothing on she'll go. Hopefully they can go! YK says she'll ask another friend about going to Youth Camp, but Lu can't go, the week after camp is her exam week. =( All the best anyway! SiHan also messaged me, maybe she'll go for Promise, I'm getting tix from Ps Kuo Yung for her. =D

So anyway, for all No Doubt fans, they're touring and recording next year!!!! I'm so excited, I like them a lot. And I prefer their music to Gwen Stefani's solo music. I'm getting a song by One Republic feat. Sara Bareilles too, its called "Come Home". Hopefully its a nice song. I asked Cliff to get me a coupla albums from Jakarta too, since its cheaper there. Keane-Perfect Symmetry, Kaiser Chiefs-Off With their Heads, Kaiser Chiefs-Yours Truly, Angry Mob (I lost this album) and Arctic Monkeys-Favourite Worst Nightmare.

Anyway, check out the Kaiser Chiefs new vid.

Kaiser Chiefs-Good Days and Bad Days

Compare this to an older song.

Kaiser Chiefs-Ruby

Seems like European bands are all headed in the same direction, loud and colourful. First, it was Justice. Then the Ting Tings. Then Keane. And now Kaiser Chiefs. Doesn't the part in Good Days and Bad Days where he's looking into the box and seeing himself look into a box remind you of the Ting Tings' Shut Up and Let Me Go vid?
