Same Difference-We R One

So yesterday I woke up at 10 plus, got ready and wore a "new" dress, one that I got from Manda at the flea market. Went to Fish & Co. at Park Mall with my family, picking Cliff along the way at his house. My parents didn't want to Fish & Co. due to a bad experience, but they obliged this time since I wanted to go. I had the fish and chips, so did Cliff and my mum, while my dad had some other fish thingy and my sis got the swordfish collar, which was massive. I had a huge drink there, but managed to finish it, was so full! I actually wanted the free ice cream from Fish & Co., what they do on birthdays, but no one in my family bothered to tell the staff it was my birthday and they couldn't be bothered to, so I didn't get anything =(

We waited for the rain to stop then walked over to Plaza Sing to get my Guess wallet, which my dad said wasn't nice, the workmanship was poor and all kinds of bad things. My mum just has a thing against Guess, ever since she saw Guess bags being thrown around in Isetan/Metro. She concluded that Guess was lousy, cheap and obiang. I liked the wallet I chose, it was green. Manda and Adel said it was nice when I showed it to them. By the time my parents were done insulting the wallet and Guess, I was in a really foul mood. They noticed it and said "K lah we get it, you want a not?" By then I couldn't be bothered to get it; even if I had gotten it I wouldn't have felt very good knowing others thought it was ugly. Plus it was my parents' money, why get something they didn't like?

So ended up walking around Plaza Sing, my mum got for my sis a cross necklace from Lee Hwa, and admired some jewellry which she would definitely not get. Went to Marks & Spencer and I got some chocolates and a pair of red heels that's really nice. I wore them immediately since they matched my dress! Haha. That is my xmas gift from my mum, and it cheered me up somewhat. After that my family had to leave to fetch my sister to Clarke Quay for her dance lesson. Walked around some more with Cliff, till it was time to meet the others at Dhoby Ghaut. Waited quite a while, and Wei Yang walked from the Istana and Joel and Nic came together, Joel with his guitar and wearing TJ pants. Lol.

We headed to MindCafe, shortly after Lu and Yee Kei called me, they couldn't find their way from Plaza Sing to the Cathay -.- So I waited at Hotel Rendezvous for them, but they couldn't find their way there either, even from Plaza Sing to Macdonald House, so I walked to Plaza Sing to find them. Lol. Brought them to MindCafe, had a lot of fun. We were there from 5.30 to 9.15? Yee Kei left slightly earlier to meet Chang, due to her leaving for Batam in a few more days. She's only going Batam for a few days. Like 3-4 days? And Cliff is leaving soon for what, 3 weeks? -.-

I decided to do the MindCafe dare, to go to every table and say it's my birthday. Joel, Boss and Lu went with me to the different tables. It was a... blur. I just said "Hi, its my birthday, I'm doing the MindCafe dare." and moved on to the other table and left the rest to dish the details to the shocked patrons. Some of them did wish me happy birthday though! All the tables in the cafe were taken, so it took a pretty long time, at least it felt like a long time, to me. I got my free drink from MindCafe after that! And the bill came up to $92, even after 10% from my membership card that I had signed up for a few hours earlier, and free charges to me and 3 other guests for boardgaming charges. The amount was due to the food. I shared a plate of chicken pasta with Lu though. Anyway, if you spend above $80, you get a free membership. So in the end Nic took the free membership. Lol. He asked us to go next week again, either Monday/Tuesday. Tuesday is Ladies Night so its better, but there's Youth Camp on Wednesday, so no idea whether I'm gonna go or not.

We parted ways later on, with Cliff and I taking 14 and the rest, MRT. But before that, Nic and Joel gave me my present. Thanks guys! They got me the book "A Gentle Thunder" by Max Lucado, plus a card. I shall read the book soon! The card was sweet =D Joel put Romans 8:28 at the end of his message, which was quite a surprise, since that verse is my favourite verse. Turns out it was totally coincidental, he had no clue that was my fave verse. Lol. And Nic, if you're reading this, I just wanna say "Hold on! Though the christian life isn't easy, its definitely worth it. =D And I don't blame you for not planning my b'day thing properly, you didn't do a bad job anyway."

Lu told me she and Yee Kei would give me a belated present, since what they wanted to get for me is not out yet. I was like "huh?" Turns out they wanted to give me Good Charlotte's Greatest Remixes, good thing they told me though, cos I don't really want it, its not a very good album. Even if they don't get me a present, I still appreciate the thought =)

Clifford was the sweetest, getting me so many things for my b'day, spending almost $150. Thank you dear =D For the yakpak, the mango cake (it was delicious), the purple rose, the Paperchase letter writing set, the card and spending time with me the whole day!

My family also got me another cake, I still haven't eaten it till now, it looks really nice! I still remember cutting the mango cake, and I ended up cutting the whole cake, and it looked really horrible. Boss said "I've never seen a cake that looks so digusting." I wasn't offended, I know I have no cake-cutting skills to speak of. Lol.

I can't be bothered to upload the photos here, its so troublesome, so for the pics, go to

for the album titled "Are we human?"

and

for the album titled "Or are we dancer/denser?"

I titled the albums as such since Lu and I were singing the song earlier in the day, her favourite song at the moment and one of my favourites, Human by the Killers.

Anyway, thank you everyone for making my birthday fantastic!

Today I didn't so much, just used the com the whole day, surfed the net, and spent most of the afternoon reading Breaking Dawn online, a free e-book. It was okay I guess. I'll probably not read any of the Twilight series after this since I've already read the last book.. I'm going to watch Scary Movie 3 now!
