This looks cool!
Hopefully I’ll be able to get it soon! I’m extremely broke though, thanks to the Keane concert this Thurs. I haven’t actually gotten tix though, shld be getting them tomorrow. I’m gonna go with Jenna. Really need to get some IOC notes done though. Keep getting distracted. Like now.
Last night was Dance FOA. I was late, so I could only watch the third dance onwards. Some parts were good, some parts were not, but the dancers did a great job! I/We (Bong, Tim, Amanda, Beu, Izzy etc.) gave flowers to Sharry, Chloe, Chris Foo and I got flowers for Anderson and Kevin Wong too! They looked like they had a great time =) After that we hung around to celebrate Jia Rong’s b’day, more like just watch Zhang attempt to throw the cake at JR (he failed miserably). Took a train home after that.
Had a terribly emotional contemplating session on the train home. Ugh. Glad to get that over with. Just a moment of weakness that often strikes me in the night-time.
It definitely wasn’t a good night as compared to last Friday, where I had a quite a good time at Drama FOA, hanging out with Crawshaw, Chris and JL at HV after. Spent a bomb on cab fare after that though...
I’ve realised that I’ve perhaps been too hard on Green Day as a band and their music. They’re an established old band, providing punk music for various generations. I keep being too harsh on them for being “mainstream” and inspiring emo-rockers or faux emo-rockers. But the thing is, they’re just doing what they’ve always done, playing and appealing to teenagers who face typical hormonal emotional turmoil. All that has changed is the faces of the teenagers going their shows. Their music still very much has the same punk energy their early music has (I guess, cos I’ve only heard a few of their old songs).
That’s it for now, off to distract myself a little more and then get started on IOC notes.
