Keane

The video titles are explanatory.

Everyone went absolutely nuts when this song came on.

Tom’s all-time favourite Keane song:

For Queen fans:

This is easily the best song of the night, and not just because it may just be my all-time favourite song-just hear the roar of the audience for half the song:

I think I’ve been giving unfair reviews the whole day when people asked me how was the concert. In all honesty, they were really really great and they poured their heart into it, esp Tom, who poured his sweat. I could see droplets of sweat drop from his clothes. Haha. He switched guitar every single song. And they gave 2 encores! Like who does that? So, truly, they were awesome.

I walked away from the concert feeling ashamed though. That I didn’t listen to their wonderful lyrics more. And didn’t get their albums earlier. So now I’m a proud owner of Spiralling and Hopes & Fears. I didn’t even know some of the songs, and the song they ended with (their second encore) was a Queen song. That sadly, I didn’t know.

So, conclusion that I made. My current musical taste sucks and I sure as hell need to listen to more classic rock. Not that I don’t want to, I just get sidelined by random stuff like Copeland, Our Lady Peace, Owl City, The Cab, Red Hot Chili Peppers… and the list goes on. I have all the Led Zep albums I think. I just haven’t listened to them. I like AC/DC though. And I need to get started on the 11 albums of the Beatles and Queen.

And people who know me know that I claim to not like mainstream stuff and I hate it when bands “sell out” and go mainstream. But really, all the stuff I listen to is mainstream. Cobra is mainstream. So are Jason Mraz, AC/DC, Fall Out Boy, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Oasis, Switchfoot (unless Des is able to come up with a convincing argument) and so many other bands I like. Man, even Queen, KISS, Metallica, the Beatles, Guns n Roses, Velvet Revolver, Motley Crue are mainstream.

I have been reduced to a quivering heap upon realising this unfortunate fact.
