LOL.

You're on the stage with your big mouth, you're upset
You're going off about something you don't get
Now the crowd is starting to boo you...

Beyonce's in the room, it's a VMA Sunday night
Seems like every year you're looking for a fight
This time you picked on the wrong girl...

She wears cool boots, you have bad hair
She plays a 12 string, and you use autotune
Dreamin' 'bout the day when you'll wake up and find
That what you're looking for, she's had the whole time

Can't you see that no-one really even likes you
now you know the truth
why can't you see...
you don't belong on mtv

Lets start by looking back on the last year or two
cant deny that shes selling more CDs than you
Nashvilles sipping sweet tea thinking to themselves
theyre (harder better faster stronger clip)

you were best with the wires in your jaw
so you could barely speak anywords at all
and now we know youre not better than that
youre just a no talent hack

She wears cool boots, you have bad hair -
she plays a 12 string, you use Autotune  -
dreamin' 'bout the day when you'll wake up and find,
that you're what you're looking for, she's had the whole time

Can't you see that no-one really even likes you
please stop doing what you do
why can't you see...you don't belong on mtv

“I'm not saying frivolity has no place, I'm just saying that we revere in popular culture almost nothing of value.  Everything's grist for the mill.  Either you're smart, starting Facebook, writing an iPhone app, or you dropped out of high school and became a lowest common denominator twit like Paris Hilton, focusing eyes on you.

Everybody wants to be rich and famous, everybody wants the attention.  Doesn't matter how many "Behind The Music" shows are aired, people think stardom will solve all their issues.  So, the inherent fabric of our country becomes ripped and torn, dilapidated.

I'm just saying we need a readjustment here.  Gossip must be the underbelly, not the primary.  We seem to carom from one celebrity event to another, from Michael Jackson's death to Kanye, and since the news media sees itself as stars, they throw logs on the fire.  Twenty four hours on kidnappings, not twenty four hours on explaining bills in Congress, or Supreme Court decisions.  But they need the ratings!
That's what Kanye is, ratings.  For everybody and anybody who's got something to sell.  And we're buying it.  So the laugh's on us.”

Pretty hilarious! Haha. I actually REALLY don’t like Taylor Swift and I don’t see what’s the big deal about her horrible music. Its not even really country music. Ack. Not that I can do better, just that I’m comparing her to other artists. Beyonce probably really deserved it more than her, but since all the hate’s on Kanye now, why stop? I actually really respected him, especially with songs like Through the Wire, Jesus Walks, Diamonds from Sierra Leone… But that was in the past. Now he’s gone all autotune and apeshit on stuff like Heartless and Stronger. Oh well.

Papers did not go well today. Unsurprisingly, I don’t really care.

Went to HMV Heeren just now on the way home from school to get NME once again. Its the review of Reading and Leeds 2009, and the headline screams OASIS RIP. Of course I had to get it. Got Muse’s The Resistance as well. I heard it a coupla days ago, when I downloaded it. Its REALLY good. I prefer it to Black Holes & Revelations. Too bad there’s no hard-hitters like Supermassive Black Hole. But I absolutely love the Exogenesis: Symphony (Part I-III)-Overture, Cross Pollination and Redemption. But seriously, you named a song Cross Pollination?! LOL.

Another album that is played on repeat is Mika’s The Boy Who Knew Too Much. I’ve been waiting for this album for waaayy too long. I was eagerly anticipating the Jennifer’s Body Soundtrack too, but it doesn’t sound as good as I expected. As usual I only really like the Cobra song.

I’m off to read NME. Then maybe a nap. Then maybe a study session with MJ at Siglap or the cafe near my house.

I think most of the people who read my blog are in the midst of exams right now, so they shouldn’t be reading this? But just in case, all the best y’all!

As you can tell, the medicine is kicking in. I guess I should rejoice?
